The prequel of successful series “Sex and the City” starring AnaSophia Robb and Austin Butler “The Carrie Diaries” is reportedly not getting a new contract for season three.
The Carrie Diaries follows Carrie Bradshaw back when she was a high school student in 1984, the series is rumored to getting cancelled by CW because of its weak TV ratings, although it has strong views online especially after its feature on Netflix.
Season 2 has 6 remaining episodes that are scheduled to end on January 31 with the season finale “Run to You.”
The Carrie Diaries is one of CW shows that are unlikely getting a renewal for next season, although fans are responding to the rumors, claiming they love the show and that CW should give the show a chance of getting viewers hooked.
Now it’s harder to trust TV ratings and its relation with a show’s success, because there are so many online sites that feature shows, and most people rather watch the show online that on the TV.
